Restorative Justice:
Rather than punish and treat every offender the same, the restorative justice model works to repair the damage/harm done by the crime balanced with the needs of the victims, citizens, and offenders. It is a people-driven, community based justice system where the victim receives reparation and restitution, the community is guaranteed public safety, and the offender is given the opportunity to accept responsibility for the offense, repair the damage, and be reintegrated into the community.
