Sustainable Business Growth
For the last decade, Azusa has experienced tremendous interest in home ownership and in new home development. However, we have been slow in recognizing and embracing new business ventures in our historic downtown and beyond. In short, our economic base has not kept us competitive with the challenges brought by our residential boom.
Once elected, I will:
- Work with developers and the community to ensure that developments are community driven
- Be mindful of density, traffic and parking impact on the citizens of Azusa
- Develop new forms of alternative transportation connecting the City to the community, students, and businesses
- Find a centrally located site for a community center that promotes a gathering place for cultural activities, the arts, and after school programs
